HOW TO GET A DIVORCE CERTIFICATE

A divorce is the legal dissolution of a marriage recognized by the state. Divorces are finalized in a state's courts. The office of vital records or the court in the state where the divorce took place will keep a copy of the divorce decree or certificate. You can order a copy of your divorce record any time. Getting a copy of your divorce records is easier than you think. In order to obtain a copy of any of these documents, you must request them from the court office where the case was started. If you are unable to attend in person, you may ask a representative to attend on your behalf or you may write to the court office.
Depending on the state, the process of getting a divorce certificate may differ a lot. However, there still exist several items that are required for almost every procedure of getting a divorce certificate. You will also have to complete a form, show proper identification or a court order and pay all applicable fees.
